Resource Description

Dr. Litsa Charalambous is a social scientist, special educator, and occupational therapist whose career has centred on inclusion and independence for people with intellectual disabilities. In 2009 she founded LCEducational, and today runs Supported Living Homes in Larnaca and Limassol alongside the “Prósvasi” (Access) centre, bringing European approaches to deinstitutionalisation into the Cypriot context. Her work was recognised in 2010 when the European Commission named her a “Female Entrepreneurship Ambassador.” In this episode, she talks about her journey from occupational therapy to social entrepreneurship and the challenges of building sustainable, inclusive support systems.
